Templates

Use an Existing Template

Templates are pre-built workflows that will give you a jump start to building out your workflows in Flomenco. We have created a set of templates for various workflows that you can use and modify. Just like a Word document template, pick the template you want to use and Flomenco will create a copy of the template for you that you can continue to modify for your own workflow.

You can also save an existing workflow as a template. Let's start by showing you how to use an existing template created by the Flomenco team.

Navigate to Templates

In Flomenco click on the Templates link on the left sidebar

Search Templates

If the template uses a specific node, you can filter templates by that node to find similar templates.

Select a Template

Click on the template you are interested in using. This will show you the details of the template, including the apps involved in the workflow.

Click on the "Use This Workflow" button. This action will take you to the workflow editor as normal.

In the editor, you can modify the template to suit your needs. Keep in mind that you will need to save your changes and it will appear in your list of WorkFlos.

If you attempt to navigate away without saving, you will be prompted to save your changes.

Copying Template Sections

If you prefer not to go through the save process immediately, you can simply copy sections or the entire template directly.

Hover over the template, select the parts you need, and use Command-C (or Ctrl-C) to copy them.

Then, paste them into an existing workflow you are working on. This method provides a quick way to integrate template elements without creating a new workflow from scratch!

Credentials Management

Note that when templates are saved, any credentials attached to nodes (like Airtable, Fabric, etc.) are stripped out. This ensures security and privacy.

When you open a saved template, you will notice these nodes are marked in red, indicating missing credentials. You need to re-add the appropriate credentials to these nodes.
